Trailblazers - Shanta and Rosie are only the second undergraduate-graduate slate in ASSU history. We are passionate about student representation at the decision-making table.
Women of Color - As two women of color, we are passionate about supporting and uplifting communities of color and folks with other marginalized identities.
Activists - We are always striving toward a better tomorrow. Shanta is an anti-sexual violence activist and most recently helped organize the Speakout in Support of Emily Doein conjuction with Stanford ASAP. Rosie most recently organized a massive graduate student phone bank effort to convince lawmakers to remove language from the tax plan that would harm graduate and coterm students.
Relationship-builders - We have cultivated strong working relationships with the highest levels of Stanford’s administration. Trust is a key component of accomplishing change with this administration and we have already built a trust-based relationship with the President, Provost and other key administrators.
Passionate Leaders - We are leaders in our communities and at Stanford, through our work advocating alongside communities of color, students with disabilities, FLI students, student parents, and survivors of sexual violence.
